Located just past Paia on the road to Hana. Mama’s is an institution on Maui and has been in business since 1973 – reservations are essential. Fabulous fish – some of the best on Maui. Go early and drive past the restaurant to watch the surfers at Hookipa Beach, just a couple of miles east of Mama's.

Small Japanese restaurant when you're looking for something besides sushi. Just like being in Japan.

Considered one of the best sushi restaurants on Maui by some. Located in South Kihei. Reservations required, sometimes months ahead, but you might get lucky in low season. No website.

Their motto is 'Brave Fish Kitchen'. Isana is the sister restaurant to Pita Paradise and serves up sushi as well as other Japanese cuisine.

Located in the west Azeka Shopping Center. A great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner in central Kihei. Features live dinner shows (check the website for current information). Very casual – order at the counter and enjoy the infused water selection and roaming chickens.

With a relatively new location in South Kihei, you can now enjoy their awesome fish tacos without having to drive to Paia.
